12th September, 1940.

Your Excellency,

Further to my No. H.K.0801 of 11th September,

1940, I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that

fishing junk No.1721 HW was found badly damaged by fire

in position 110 degrees 10 miles from Waglan at 1710 H

The owner reported that his vessel was boarded

by Japanese from a vessel marked No.6 during the

forenoon in that vicinity and set on fire.

A Japanese craft bearing that number was

sighted by H.M.S. "DANDAE" in the vicinity at 1828 H.

The junk was towed in by H.M.S. "SCOUT" and

turned over to a Police Boat, from which further

particulars will no doubt be obtained.
